Yesterday was the day for local sights.
We visited the Ben ＆ Jerry’s ice-cream factory outside Burlington. They take their quality control very seriously. You never know when ice cream is going to jump out of the bowl and hit you in the eye.
Do you think this is more for the visitors’ peace of mind or for the delivery men?
We visited the flavour graveyard where retired flavours are put to rest. This one is for Alb, Donny and every other Lebowski fan out there.
…And I think they may be exhuming this one in a few months.
We hit up the Vermont Bear Factory while we were at it.

Today I think we’re doing a mountain trail on horseback. Stay tuned for action shots of me falling off in my best Clint Eastwood impression.
There was a white russian Ben ‘n’ Jerrys! I never knew this, and who killed it!?! I hope he got the chair.

I have a friend who used to work across the street from the Ben and Jerry’s factory and they used to bring them gobs of free ice cream every day. YUUUM. Phish Food and Cherry Garcia are my all time favs.
But…if I’d known you needed Lebowski-ism in your life, I would have directed you here long ago. I’m sorry – it was last weekend. I think my cousin went (I have family in Louisville).
It’s only about 10 hours by car from VT to KY.
Also, Claire and I share Ben & Jerry’s preferences. Phish Food and Cherry Garcia are the best ever.
