FO – Dad’s Jumper
Ok, it was two weeks late but it’s finished, it fits and he loves it!

Ribbed Cross-Over Collar

The Infamous Short Rows
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Rialto, 14 balls (hilariously I bought 6 initially thinking I might get away with it… delusion!)
Needles: 4mm for the whole thing, didn’t bother going down a size for the ribbing.
Pattern: Guided by Barbara Walker’s Knitting From The Top, it’s a top-down V-neck raglan. Very straight forward.
Modifications: I added an extra inch under each arm for added movement. I didn’t work a mitred V-neck, working a flat collar instead and sewing it down. Added the afterthought short rows on the back to make it a little longer – this was a total success.
If I were to do it again, I would make it 40″ around and not 39″ for added ease. I would probably stick in some short rows at the back of the neck before I worked the collar too. I plan on working out some numbers to get started on my first of a few Christmas projects… onwards and upwards!

Looks gorgeous, both sweater and model
